Beautiful Art Nouveau table lamp, made in the studio of the famous Lierse art smith Louis / Lodewijk Van Boeckel (1857-1944). It is signed 'Hermans', so it could be either his master guest Ward Hermans or his pupil August Hermans (Nijlen, 1885-1971). In the typical finely forged rose flowers and leaves (see the detailed photographs), you can already recognise the art of the master and his studio that was commissioned worldwide: from the White House in Washington to the tsar's palace in St. Petersburg. It is thanks in part to Horta that wrought iron as material and 'new art' made its entrance into the chic salons of Brussels. The lamp is in very good condition. I didn't find any damage. The power cable is not the original one.
