Carl Zeiss Jena Spiegelobjektiv 1000mm f:5.6 The Carl Zeiss mirror lens is a mythical lens. The biggest camera lens made by Carl Zeiss Jena. Between 1950 and 1980 Zeiss only made about 500 of these lenses. This lens dates back to 1965. The optics are clear. No dust on the inside. The focus and changing of the 6 filters runs smoothly. This is my personal lens that I mainly used for astrophotography (see examples). Because it is a very bright lens with a perfectly flat field of view, this lens is extremely suitable for astrophotography. Used Sony Alpha A7 and Canon Eos Ra.
