1959 Chevrolet Viking with nice original patina. Based on a 2000 Ford F350 Roll bed truck. Fully operational as a ramp/recovery truck. Cool looks of this 59 Viking with F350 underbody and powertrain. Under the bonnet is a super powerful 7.3L V8 Powerstroke Turbo Diesel that has been lightly tuned. The engine runs like clockwork and has heaps of torque. This makes the ramp truck even fast. Behind the Powerstroke diesel is a rock-solid 4R110 automatic transmission. The roll bed platform is fully hydraulic and functions perfectly. There is a switchable pump on the motor. A very strong hydraulic winch is mounted on the bed. Under the bed is a large lockable storage box containing chains, straps and cones. The interior comes from the donor F350 and is very neatly fitted. Everything works; lights, heater, switches, gauges and also the radio. The comfortable leather seats are electrically adjustable but not connected. Recently, the Viking underwent extensive maintenance. This included the oils, transmission fluid, filters, as well as glow plugs, injection module, brake pads and callipers as well as a brand-new large intercooler. The tyres are Firestone Transforce HT and have as good as new tread. The car drives very well and can even be called comfortable. The weight of this roll bed truck is 3,580 kg. Load capacity thus comes to just under 4 tonnes. The dimensions of the bed are 242 cm wide and 517 cm long. Complete length of the truck is 815 cm. The body has a nice patina and therefore great looks. It is a real eye-catcher and many people give a thumbs-up in passing. This makes it a perfect advertising object. Of course, the patina also results in some rust on some parts which can be seen in the photos.
