The Alfa Romeo has been fully restored. It will be delivered with 2 engines. The original 1300 and the 512 series 2000. It comes with the very rare Giallo Piper exterior paint (Alfa Romeo certified original colour), with black vinyl interior. The car is lowered and has a limited slip differential. 4-speed gearbox. Both engines have been completely overhauled, as have the suspension, steering transmission and braking system. The 2000 engine and mechanics (gearbox, transmission, suspension, steering) were overhauled in 2018. The 1300 engine was serviced in 2019. Invoices and extensive work documentation are available upon request. The bodywork was completely restored in July 2022 (photos attached and invoice available upon request). Damaged or rust-eroded panels were removed and replaced with new ones. Sills, nose and boot have been replaced. The seats and door panels were restored in 2018. In July 2023 the rims were painted and new hubcaps installed and the braking system was completely overhauled. This GT Junior has the ASI CRS and the Alfa Romeo certificate of originality. The 2000 engine offers truly exciting performance, especially as it is coupled to the short ratio of the 1300 engine. The car was initially sold in Trieste, and later purchased and re-registered in Gorizia. The car was in neglected condition for many years and several interventions were needed on the bodywork, interior and mechanics to bring it back to its deserved current state. The paintwork was done at a bodyshop specialised in the restoration of classic cars and is in very good condition. There is however a small mark which has emerged near the driver's side lock. The bodyshop worker agreed to fix the problem at their own expense as soon as they got back from the summer holidays. The dashboard, although in good condition and fully functional, is slightly sloped to the right (defect found in many of these models). Some seals, especially around the door frame, are starting to show their age and should be replaced. It is exciting and very pleasant to drive. The engine runs very smoothly and extends to the red zone of the rev counter without hesitation. There is a smell of petrol when tackling very winding mountain routes, but this is a fairly common feature of these cars. The seats are well padded, comfortable and enveloping. The front seats are equipped with seat belts. The car can be viewed and picked up in Vicenza by making an appointment with Catawiki. The location has a large square for the manoeuvring and parking of trucks and vehicles with trailers.
