Jaguar XJ. The Jaguar XJ is a series of very chic cars, built by British car manufacturer Jaguar from 1968 to 2019. It was produced in five generations (introduced in 1968, 1986, 1994, 2003 and 2009). Each generation has a very recognizable design style: the XJ (or XJ40) is definitely a rolling time capsule, typical of the late 80s.  This XJ6 3.2 Sport. From 1970, the XJ Jaguars was the flagship four-door model.  The replacement for the Series XJ models was codenamed XJ40 and development of the all-new car began in the early 1970s (with small scale models being built as early as 1972). The project suffered a number of delays due to problems at parent company British Leyland, not to mention problems such as the 1973 oil crisis. The XJ40 was finally unveiled 14 years later at the British International Motor Show on 8 October 1986. As seen in the 1980s, the XJ came with significantly different styling, being more square and angular than the Series III. This is a very late one from 01/1994, a very complete 3.2 Sport. Recognizable by its beautiful red colour with gold striping, beige interior with the beautifully matching red carpet and the 5-spoke wheels with red hub caps. For this Sport, the large grilles in the front were sprayed in the body colour and they are even still present!  It is in a presentable and original condition, both inside and out and with minimal signs of wear. It has a very complete maintenance history. In January 1994, it was handed over new by Hessing Service Center BV, to the Hartog family, who have enjoyed it for no less than 26 years and have also taken very good care of it. It has presumably always spent the night inside, because it is very well preserved.  Owner history. 01/1994 - 11/2020 1st owner (In the meantime, the Jaguar has been moved to Ibiza in 2007) 11/2020 - 01/2021 Private trader) 01/2021 - 07/2022 2nd owner (Once changed from business to private) While in this enthusiast's possession, the Jaguar was nicknamed "Margaret" and shared the driveway with various other great big cars. This was the first owner I got to purchase the car for. 07/2022 - present. The current owner absolutely loves it and bought the car with love at first sight. The driver, who was originally a real Saab driver, has thoroughly taken care of the Jaguar through good maintenance and a preventive bottom treatment (costing over €1000) to keep it as good as it is now.  Despite the fact that he truly loves it and has made several nice trips with it, including to England, he has crossed paths with another great Saab that he couldn't resist.
