Artribune x Catawiki Dopo diversi soggiorni contemplativi e immersivi nel Salento tra il 2018 e il 2024, l'incontro con la mineralità onnipresente in questa regione è una decisiva fonte di ispirazione per lo sviluppo di questo nuovo progetto pittorico. Le composizioni sono ora adornate da sassi, rocce, sassolini raccolti, archiviati, censiti in loco. DARAN li rappresenta con un realismo poetico senza precedenti. Le capacità tecniche sono identiche ai vecchi periodi della sua carriera, tra sfumati e sovrapposizioni finissime e delicate della materia pittorica. La tavolozza cromatica è strettissima, si moltiplica magistralmente in innumerevoli variazioni di sfumature e trasparenze. Le complesse composizioni spaziali oscillano tra parti dipinte e altri elementi grafici. Permettono di viaggiare attraverso l'opera, scoprendola ogni giorno da altri punti di vista. Da più di cinquant'anni DARAN sviluppa tematiche incentrate sul nudo femminile e maschile, citazioni della mitologia, paesaggi toscani e veneti... DARAN ora offre un invito a viaggiare all'interno del dipinto. Pone un interrogativo artistico sulla riappropriazione della “natura morta” che si fossilizza sotto i suoi pennelli. In this new series of oils on canvas, the painter pays homage to Italy, more precisely to the Puglia region which inspires these very recent works. After several contemplative and immersive stays in Salento between 2018 and 2024, the encounter with the minerality omnipresent in this region is a decisive source of inspiration for the development of this new pictorial project. The compositions are now adorned with stones, pebbles, rocks, pebbles collected, archived, listed on site. DARAN represents them with unprecedented poetic realism. The technical know-how is identical to the previous periods of his career, between sfumato and very fine and delicate superpositions of the pictorial material. Les compositions se parent à présent de pierres, cailloux, roches, galets collectés, archivés, répertoriés sur place. DARAN les représentent avec un réalisme poétique sans précédent. Les savoir-faire techniques sont identiques aux anciennes périodes de sa carrière, entre sfumato et superpositions très fines et délicates de la matière picturale. La palette chromatique est très serrée, elle se démultiplie avec maestria en d’inombrables déclinaisons de nuances et transparences. Les compositions spatiales complexes oscillent entre parties peintes et d’autres graphiques. Elles permettent de voyager dans l’œuvre en la découvrant chaque jour sous d’autres points de vues. Depuis plus d’une cinquantaine d’années, DARAN a développé des thématiques se focalisant sur le nu féminin et masculin, des citations à la mythologie, de paysages toscans et vénitiens… DARAN propose dorénavant une invitation au voyage à l’intérieur du tableau. Il pose un questionnement artistique sur la réappropriation de la « nature morte » qui sous ses pinceaux se fossilise.
