Lovely antique Typewriter L.C. Smith & Bros. N.Y. U.S.A.
This Model Number 5 is made of heavy cast iron.
L.C. Smith & Bros. started with producing the N° 5 model in 1911 until 1923.
L.C. Smith & Bros. Company was founded in Syracuse, N.Y. on January, 1st, 1903 by Lyman C. Smith and his brothers Hurlburt W., Wilbert L. and Monroe C., who resign from Smith Premier over the company's refusal to introduce a frontstroke typewriter.
In fairly good condition, with wear due to age and usage. Not sure if it is still usable or the typewriter ribbon just needs to be replaced. Someone with knowledge will know how to do this.
