Visions of Japan" is a collection of photographs by Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki, who has published more than 400 books since the 1960s. Araki is a "photographic artist" who has continued to break new ground in art through his photographs, which are not formal "art," but rather "free," "unconventional," and sometimes "unorthodox. His works, such as nudes using various techniques and humanistic snaps, are radical and have sometimes caused various controversies, but only because he continued to fight against art. This book is from "Visions of Japan," a series on prominent Japanese photographers published by the now-defunct Korinsha Publications in the late 1990s, and is comprised of illustrations from the "New Angel Festival" published in the 1990s.
