A beautiful late Qing period ginger jar, made for Chinese export.
The jar measures approximately 12.5cm in height, and weighs 514g.
It is wonderfully hand-painted in cobalt blue, to depict blossoming prunus trees on cracked ice.
Marked to the underside with double blue ring.
Good condition, with very minor wear commensurate with age.
There are small manufacturing blemishes in the glaze and porcelain, including hairline cracks that existed prior to painting and have been glazed over. There are no repairs.
It displays beautifully on a table or shelf and would make an excellent additional to any antique Chinese porcelain collection.
This jar will be very carefully packaged and shipped worldwide.
