Forntida Egypten Fajans Ushabti med hieroglyfer

Ancient Egyptian Faience Ushabti with Hieroglyphs Circa 664-332 BC This glazed composition mummiform ushabti features a columnar body adorned with hieroglyphs on both sides, resting on a small base. The intricately detailed head displays a tripartite wig, a false beard, and the hands crossed at the chest, each holding a flail and a hoe. These symbolic tools represent agricultural tasks and emphasize the ushabti's role in agricultural labour in the afterlife. Ushabti figures served a ritualistic and symbolic purpose in funerary practices. They were small figurines placed in tombs to accompany the deceased in the afterlife and perform labour on their behalf.
