Rare Toba-e from 18th century ( about 1780 ) , Anonymous work ( or signed on the title page, I haven't been able to translate it ) , Ink painting rehanced with some colors , Art Brut. The Toba-e appeared in 12th century, they were caricatures of Japanese people , especially sexuals coutumes, they are very important as they are the ancestors of the Mangas. Small book with rose silk cover on the 2 faces, 10,5 x 6,7 cm, 13 paltes 13 x 10,5 cm and the title pages with a stamp ( maybe the author over the stamp, not sure because a lot of these works aren't signed for the censorship) You will note another stamp on the tape ( a bit worn ) on the cover , and another one on the last page. The conditions stayed good to very good for the age ( about 250 years old) You will note that the silk cover has been repaired at the back with a Gold thread ( a long time ago) Some scratches on some pages, especially the last ( maybe to take off a dedicace or a signing ) The pages are mounted in a Leporello ( opened in accordion ), totally opened 203 cm Stayed rare to see.
