A very rare 1st choice Meissen decorative plate with full gilt vine leaf painting from the beginning of the Knauf period (1824-1923) in outstanding condition. An absolute rarity. The hand-painted decorative plate is in absolutely immaculate condition. There are no abrasions, cracks or flaking. Although the vine leaf painting is a frequently occurring motif, fully gilded break-through plates from this series are very rare. Manufactured in the beginning of the knob period, this plate has a minimum age of 125 years and a maximum age of almost 175 years. This discreet yet beautiful piece is therefore an excellent example of the high-quality craftsmanship of the Meissen porcelain manufactory at its best.
