The Recording King RDS-9-12-TS is a twelve-string dreadnought model from the Dirty 30's series. Twelve-string guitars produce a rich and distinctive jangly sound. Because the double low E and A strings are tuned the same and the remaining strings are tuned in octaves, you get a natural chorus effect over your sound. This is because the double string can never be tuned exactly the same in relation to each other. Fans of this type of guitar include David Bowie, George Harrison, Johnny Marr and Tom Petty.
