Shinoyama, who learned "photography techniques" at the Nihon University College of Art Photography School and "what photography is" at the Tokyo College of Photography, where he attended at night, has been a member of the prestigious Light Publicity photography department since he was a student. Active in the world of commercials, and since becoming a freelancer in the late 1960s, he has made Kazuko Matsuda, one of the top models at the time, and singer Akihiro Maruyama naked, one after another, and has even been called "the undresser Shinoyama."
