Kambaba jaspis Prisma - Höjd: 17 cm - Bredd: 6 cm- 870 g
Beautiful kambal jasper mineral worked in the shape of a prism. The term jasper is of oriental origin, and in antiquity designated what we now call quartz. Thus, the jasper of the Bible was none other than rock crystal; Pliny's transparent green jasper, a chrysoprase; Orpheus' jasper, a heliotrope. All in all, the current situation is not very different: all polychrome and difficult-to-identify minerals are referred to as jaspers: serpentine silver eye is called zebra jasper; epidote (unakite), floral jasper; cryolite leopard-skin jasper, eye jasper and moist forest jasper. As for genuine jaspers, we only know that in Egypt they were used as amulets, shaped like scarabs, while in medieval times they were considered the stones of warriors. In this regard, legend has it that a jasper was embedded in the pommel of Siegfried's sword.
