With signed and sealed tomobako. Kinjiro Ninomiya二宮金次郎(also name二宫尊德) was born in 1787 to a wealthy farmer in Odawara City and died in 1856 at the age of 70. Kinjiro was wealthy when he was born, but lost his fields to a river flood, his father died when Kinjiro was 14, and his mother died when he was 16. There he was left in the care of his uncle, but one night when he was reading a book with the light on, his uncle scolded him. They say, ``Who do you rely on for your food? Oil is a waste.'' Kinjiro plants rapeseed in a vacant lot, exchanges oil with the resulting rapeseed, and reads a book, but he is scolded again. Your time is my time. They say that peasants don't need learning. From then on, as you can see in the photo, he started reading books while walking with Maki on his back. Eventually, Kinjiro became independent from his uncle's house and set about rebuilding his parents' home. Through hard work and thrift, he returned to his former wealthy home at the age of 24. When he learned of this, he was asked by the Hattori family, a retainer of the Odawara domain, to rebuild their finances, and was able to succeed in this as well. As word spread, he was asked to rebuild the Sakuramachi territory (Ninomiya Town, Tochigi Prefecture), which was a branch of the Odawara Domain, and is said to have rebuilt 615 villages during his lifetime. When Kinjiro rebuilt the Sakuramachi territory, he was given the rank of samurai and became Ninomiya Sontoku.
