◆Vintage National Flag "The Rising Sun" Size: 68×80 cm Material: cotton The flag of the Rising Sun (KYOKUJITU-KI 旭日旗) is a design of the sun and sunlight (Rising Sun). The most well-known flag is the one with 16 rays of light opening at 22.5 degrees (the sixteen-striped rising sun flag). There are other flags with a variety of rays, such as 4, 8, 12, and 24 stripes. Since ancient times, it has been a traditional Japanese flag and a symbol of good luck, signifying Hare (a festival). After the Meiji Restoration, the flag was also used as a military flag. In World War II, both the army and navy fought under the flag of the Rising Sun. Please see the last photo. The Rising Sun flag (KYOKUJITU-KI 旭日旗) is a symbol of Japan at that time, along with the Hinomaru (日の丸). This flag is old and has some dirt rubbing, so please understand the situation.
