ON THE NOSE The tasting begins with a wine that breathes and comes to life in a light and playful spiral, thanks to accents of angelica, coconut, cinnamon, cocoa and tobacco. ON THE PALATE In the mouth, the wine reaches a stage of complex breadth, earthy, smoky and pearly, highlighted by the vibrant heat of peppery spice. The sensation of intensity develops, and then merges into a deep and round heart, with a fruity and exotic maturity and a light anise accent. This almost destabilizing sensation is even more pronounced on the finish, while the spice notes, still present, remain discreet, with toasted and iodized hints. THE HARVEST The year 1999 was characterized by a series of contrasts: the average temperature was high and during the long and dry summer season, classified as "tropical", hailstorms and days of strong winds were recorded. The rains that occurred in conjunction with the harvest (14 September) did not ruin a healthy, abundant harvest with an exceptionally strong and round character.
