"...A Roylland Matras 1947 in Vandermeulen bottling in 2010 had a quite young color, but a very ripe nose, balsamic notes, a lot of acidity, but also tension and a nice sweetness - 93/100. "
The Vandermeulen brothers were the most famous bottlers in France at the time, buying only the very best barrels directly from the chateaus. According to legend, they added port to the wines to make them richer.
Vandermeulen bottlings are a legend.
The bottle comes from a Belgian cellar liquidation and was with the collector for decades.
