Sold with signed and sealed tomobako.
Fujii Shumei was a notable Arita porcelain artist known for his innovative "Leaf Technique." He used actual leaves as stencils to apply dye to porcelain, creating detailed and realistic depictions of trees and forests. He grew up in Arita, a town known for its porcelain production, and was a descendant of an Arita porcelain family.
