Solid hardcover binding from the 19th century in good condition, richly decorated, gilt titles on the spine and marbled boards, traces of wear on the corners, edges and plates. Size: H 347 x W 285 mm or 13.7 by 11.3 inches, paper/illustrations with full original margins, in very good condition, some small tears on the white margins, but text and illustrations are intact, rare foxing or spotting, minor blemishes to be expected with prints of this age (180 years). Printed on thick high quality and soft white paper, illustrations have amazing details, as in all editions there are some black and white plates, especially those of anatomy.
