Rare and large sized Zotty Teddy from Steiff. Since 1902, Richard Steiff, nephew of Margarete Steiff, designed and created the first jointed bear which, under the name of "Teddy Bear", quickly developed as the central figure in the world of toys. In the late twenties the designed at the Steiff Company created a new, childlike type of a teddy bear which was coated with exceptionally attractive mohair plush. This Big 60 cm sized 'Zotty Teddy' is from the sixties of earlier. As was the original it is made of superior materials, stuffed with fine excelsior and hand-made with loving care down to the last detail. Does not have the button in ear anymore.
