Little concavities bring life to the surface, unfolding a story hidden behind one or many steel dots. PINS are available in many eye-catching colours and different sizes to form colour patterns on the walls – can work as hangers or as colour – decorations for walls. OSKAR ZIĘTA Graduated from the Szczecin University of Technology (currently, the West Pomeranian University of Technology), Department of Construction and Architecture, Szczecin, Poland, 2000. He was a scholar of the ETH, Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Switzerland, 2000–2001. Since 2003 he has been working at the ETH as a research and teaching assistant in the department of Computer Aided Architectural Design (CAAD). In 2011, he completed his doctor's degree at ETH. Since 2013, he has been teaching at the School of Form, SWPS University, Poznań, Poland. In 2010, he established the Zieta Prozessdesign company. He invented the FIDU – Frei Innen Druck Umformung (Free Inner Pressure Deformation) technology, which transforms flat, shaped surfaces made of two sheets of steel previously welded together into 3D objects, by injecting a powerful jet of compressed air between them. He uses the FIDU technology in furniture and interior design, as well as in sculptures, including: NAWA sculpture – Daliowa Island, Wrocław, Poland; WIR – Galeria Północna, Warsaw, Poland. His famous Ploop stool is in the collections of international museums, including the permanent collection of the Pompidou Centre in Paris, where it is presented as one of the twelve chairs that revolutionized contemporary design. He has received many awards, including: Design Preis Schweiz, 2008; Red Dot Design Award, 2008; Materialica Design Award, 2009; German Design Award, 2009; Audi Mentor Prize by A&W, 2011. He has participated in many domestic and international individual exhibitions, including: DMY International Festival of Design, Berlin, Germany, 2009; Prediction, Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Etienne, Saint-Etienne, France, 2010; Blow and Roll, Victoria & Albert Museum, London Design Festival, London, the United Kingdom, 2010; Future Nomads, DMY International Festival of Design, Berlin, 2013; Paris Design Week, Paris, 2014; Milan Design Week, Milan, Italy, 2014, 2015, 2016; the International Interiors Show IMM Cologne, Cologne, Germany, 2018; Fuorisalone, Galleria Rossana Orlandi, Milan, 2018. His works are represented in numerous museums and private collections, including: Centre Pompidou, Paris, France; Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich, Germany; Museum of Modern Art MoMA, New York, USA; Museum für Gestaltung, Zurich, Switzerland; Vitra Design Museum, Weil am Rhein, Germany. OSKAR ZIĘTA
