RARE Waterman 42, made of hard rubber, that has been discoloured from black to green-brown. It is in very good condition, considering its age: no heavy scratches, dings nor cracks. The propel-repel system still is in very good operational condition . Imprint in the barrel: 'Pat'D 1884 May.23.1899 (+logo) Waterman's Fountain - Pen N.Y. U.S.A. & Aug.4.1903 Safety Pen'. The text is very hard to read on some spots. Imprint in the rear of the turning knob: '42'. The original solid gold nib has been bent a little and should be stretched for proper use. It has imprint: 'Waterman's IDEAL New York 2'. The Fountain Pen comes in a soft rubber Parker pen box for protection. Please take a close look at the pictures as being part of the description.
