"Sunglasses always look great in photographs, so whenever I see a pair, especially a model from the 1960s, I get the camera out. This was during a phase when I was experimenting with the foreground being out of focus with the macro lens. I tried for many years to get this photo, and then suddenly, bingo, it worked. I was very happy and I would never get this right again. It is moments like this that keep you loving photography."
