The National Physical Laboratory, Teddington Certifies that: Sextant no. D489, name Heath &Co., New Eltham, London, reaches the standard for CLASs A. 12th April, 1939 It was distributed by Negus, Nautical Instruments, New York. Instrument is in very good condition. It was used during the WWII in exYugoslavia by the army and marines. All the parts are in the box. They are very well fixed to the box so it was possible to carry it around safely and dismantle easily. Sextant was kept at the safe and dry place afterwards, at the closet in the house. There are minor signs on the box and the parts as seen on photos. It is from using the sextant on the field.
