Arne Jacobsen’s Cylinda-line series for Stelton, launched in 1967, became an immediate success, winning both Danish and international design awards in the late 1960s. His innovative use of lightly brushed, seamless stainless steel in pure, clean cylindrical forms was a sensation and has remained popular ever since. These items are examples from the Cylinda-line and include a sleek cylindrical, lidded ice bucket, the largest size from the series (17.7x14.5cmx17.7cm; 2.5 litres) together with matching vintage ice tongs (19x4.4x2.4cm) with Arne Jacobsen (AJ) signature. These are superb vintage items from the 1970s-1990s, both in vintage near-mint condition with only minimal patina. There no dinks, bumps or significant scratches. There is a very small blemish on the inside lining of the ice bucket base, that probably arose during the original manufacture (see photos #33-34 at 3 o'clock) The base is marked with an original vintage Stelton sticker. in unused near-mint condition.
