Mrs. B. Midderigh-Bokhorst is the author of a large number of happy school posters meant for probably junior and primary education. The posters are published by Smith's Fine Art Publishing NV, which, despite the English-language name, was located in the Hague. The series are pre-war, the largest series for “Youth” (42 different prints) of 1936. From this series comes "turtles" The print is signed at the bottom left "B. Midderigh-Bokhorst" and is framed by art trade F. Potters (then on the Ginniken Street 45, Breda) in a bright red frame. Dimensions frame: 33 x 33 cm The red paint of the frame is slightly damaged in a few spots, but it suits an item of this age. The best known and most striking facets of the work of B. Midderigh-Bokhorst are her wall posters in the first half of the last century in numerous children's rooms, classrooms and all sorts of other premises for youth.
