This fantastic and rustic wooden basket was used in ancient China to measure rice.
Chinese food cases and containers come in many shapes and sizes, but the wooden corn and rice containers are the most striking.
Although these containers are antiques, the design could have been contemporary.
This beautiful rice basket has a wooden handle at edge height.
This was easier for storing because the baskets could be stacked.
Still in good condition, thanks to the iron edges that protect the whole.
