Stunning and authentic Cartier Santos Godron Automatique. This valuable watch with its very characteristic look comes as a complete set. So the lot includes the original box, folder, booklet, card for lifelong warranty (no idea what the conditions are...) and extra links. The case is approximately 30 mm with an 18 kt gold bezel rim with the screws that are characteristic for Santos. Other typical characteristics are the very classic white dial with Roman numerals and date at 3 o'clock. Also note the original crown, set with a blue sapphire. This Cartier Santos has an automatic movement... not to be confused with the cheaper quartz editions! Another top characteristic of this watch is that it has been equipped with a "Godron" steel-gold strap. These are rare, especially compared to the Galbee strap, which is often supplied. So this is exceptional. The strap has steel-gold links and is 18 mm wide at the lugs. It is 14 mm wide at the original Cartier clasp with gold logo. The strap is suitable for wrists up to maximum 20 cm (including the extra links - it is currently sized for 18 cm) The watch is in overall good condition (optically 8/10). Of course there are has some minor signs of wear on the strap case and glass. Nothing shocking and nothing that can't be removed with a thorough polishing. The automatic movement runs perfectly on time. Even though the watch was originally meant for men, I think it would also look stunning on a woman's wrist.
