The statue of Saint Michael the Archangel is entirely made of alabaster, hand carved by local artisans in 1903. Coming from Monte Sant’Angelo, province of Foggia, where is located the cave of St. Michael that appeared in 1400. The very rare thing of this statue is that the relic of Saint Michael is sealed in a silver reliquary. The only non-original element is the hook that holds the reliquary attached to the statue.
