The French edition of the Petit Prince, completely printed on November 30, 1945, was planned to be published for Christmas 1945. But the publication had to be postponed until April 1946. This first print was made in 12.750 copies on Hélio paper with a Navarre typography, numbered as follows: 12.250 copies from 1 to 12.250. 93 numbered pages, drawing on the 94th and text on the 95th - 22 x 17 cm, Editor binding in blue canvas with the author’s drawing and the title in red. Red “nrf” on the first and second cover. Helio paper with a Navarre typography. Without original jacket. Without the original watercolours at his disposal, the editor had no choice but to start from the American edition but in French this time. Despite the approximation of the drawings and colours, and some typos, sometimes pretty mysterious, due to the re-composition of the book, this first French edition is very close to the New York edition. These typos have been corrected in the following editions. Inside in excellent condition. A small trace of water on the top of the binding, a small tear at the bottom. Top right corner a bit damaged.
