The coral red and dark brown of the Writers Edition "Hemingway" pens is reminiscent of the Montblanc fountain pens from the 1930s – the decade in which Ernest Hemingway celebrated his earliest successes. The cap, with its gold-plated mountings and classical, gold-plated clip, bears the engraved signature of the writer. Ernest Hemingway was undoubtedly one of the greatest writers of the 20th century, and he still inspires discriminating literature enthusiasts all around the world. In works such as “For Whom the Bells Tolls” and “The Old Man and the Sea”, Hemingway was remarkable for his powers of verbal expression and the denseness of his narratives.
