In addition to the auxiliary dials, there is a rotatable slide rule with which you can do complicated calculations. The watch is inscribed Chronomat. It wasn't the famous Navitimer, but the Chronomat 769 was the first watch with a movable slide rule. A patent was filed for the Breitling Chronomat, a combination of Chrono(chronograph) and mat (hematic), in 1940. Many variants of the Chronomat were produced in the years to follow.
