The EL 3558 is actually an amalgamation of the EL 3552, EL 3553 and EL 3556. The model has the ability to automatically record. The rest of the recorder is equal to the EL 3553. Difference is that this recorder has a teak wood cabinet. just like the EL 3555/EL 3556. In this model stereo playback and multi/duoplay are possible through a separate amplifier. The EL 3558 is a bit more expensive than the EL 3553 because of the extras and because of it teak wooden built it looks more luxurious.
