The “Galvani Ceramic factory” of Pordenone was founded in 1811 by Giuseppe Galvani.
In1823, the earthenware from the Galvani factory was marked with the logo of an anchor.
In 1836 the manufacture became the property of Giuseppe's nephew, Andrea, and, in 1855, it was inherited by the brothers Giuseppe and Giorgio, who first used the rooster logo as a trademark.
In 1885, Luciano, the eldest son of Giorgio, became the owner of the company.
In 1911 the factory management goes to Andrea Galvani who alters its name to "Società Anonima Andrea Galvani" and turns the logo into a in a stylized rooster, or the head of a rooster, combined with a letter G.
Destroyed by fire in 1921, the factory got rebuilt with modern criteria, allowing a wider and varied production.
