These magnifying glasses are an impressive and rare feature. The manufacturer – Carl Zeiss – speaks for the highest quality and precision. This filigree instrument lets us go on a journey back in time. This is one of the first surgical glasses, Carl Zeiss antique German Magnifying glass / eyeglasses with early rare optical med surgical wire frame.  This type of glasses were used for medical and jewellery purposes.  Made in Germany by Carl Zeiss, 1880s. For many decades lie between the production of the glasses and the present. It is reduced to the essential, without frills. In this way, it serves its user and enables unrestricted increased vision and work. The structure of the magnifying glasses also allows for "normal" vision despite wearing the glasses. This is similar to reading glasses across whose frame you can look across. It is error-free and can therefore even be used. But it also serves as an example of German craftsmanship, as an object of view and to the delight of the viewer. This one is in very good condition, and still in its original box.  The box is stamped on the outside "Carl Zeiss Jena"
