A completely serviced and fully original rare vintage Rolex Steel and 18K Yelllow Gold Big Bubble automatic mens wristwatch from 1947 with Red Roulette date indication, ref 5031. The case with 18k yellow gold lunette in excellent condition and measuring 36 x 42mm excluding crown (XL size for those days). This 18K crown is original and signed with "Rolex Oyster". Has of course screwdown principle. Red and Black altering date indicator at 3 (Red Roulette model) Case numbered 612974 for 1947 and with modelnumber 5031. Original, non-restored fine silver dial, correctly signed. Some ageing, but still in excellent condition for this Rolex that is 73 years old. Gold luminous hands and gold markers. Big bubble caseback,correctly signed on the inside. Rolex 18 jewel automatic movement, timed at 6 positions, with Breguet spiral and lovely swanneck regulator. Movement has been completely serviced and keeps excellent time. This Rolex comes on a very high quality leather strap with Rolex gold plated buckle. Length of the strap is 24cm. A vintage Rolex Red Roulette 5031 in this condition is a hard to find piece. This one is also fully serviced. A watch that is ready to wear.
