The item is still in very good condition and the movement is excellent, all functions work perfectly.
These clocks were installed in various German aircraft during the war, especially in German fighters such as the Messerschmidt Bf 109E,Focke-Wulf Fw-190,
Junkers Ju-87, AKA Stuka and the ME262.
They were called Blindflieguhren because you could use them to plan your course at night.
Pilots were ordered to take these clocks with them if their aircraft could not be saved, that was how important they were.
This clock was taken by an English soldier and has been stored in this box since the war, hence the near perfect condition, it (the timepiece) has been serviced.
