Nicely preserved RVS insurance advertising sign from 1948!
Rotterdamse Verzekerings Service.
Became the largest of the Netherlands.
In 2011 it merged into Nationale Nederlanden.
The sign has a white point at the end of the cane, in the black part. After 1950 this was entirely black.
The sign has some age signs. See photos.
Especially below.
Colours and lustre are still good. In the white there has been two restorations the size of a screw head. The edges are hard.
The sign is originally in a wooden frame. It was once hung outside like this.
Due to brackets, the sign came to hang slightly forward, making the picture stand out better. The brackets can be twisted off.
Beautifully preserved sign. The image of the sign is very well known from the old RVS TV commercials.
The sign is to be picked up in Limburg, Netherlands.
