Second half of the 20th century, Italy
A wonderful Italian Capodimonte biscuit sculpture by Benacchio, Triade.
It depicts a naked woman with two cherubs around her. She is elegantly seated on a rock with a water jug with golden details at her feet.
Both the lady and the cherubs are beautifully detailed. Many very fine details. The woman wears a gold band in her beautiful hair. Very expressive face.
The cherubs are finely detailed as well, and have a natural playful pose.
A very fine and expressive scene.
The sculpture is mounted on a wood pedestal.
Signed and marked. With the Triade anchor logo on the bottom.
In very good condition, see photos.
Height: 37 cm, pedestal included.
In 1953, Giorgio Basso, Luigi Giorgio Benacchio and the Brothers Giuseppe and Antonio Perdomello founded the Ceramics factory “Triade” in Bassano del Grappa, province of Vicenza.
The company manufactures ceramic and porcelain sculptures inspired to Capodimonte’s school.
In 1986, Benacchio and the Perdomello Brothers, transferred their Company shares to Giorgio Basso who continued production until 1997, when he handed over the direction to his children, Sergio and Laura.
The factory is still operating under the name "Nuova Triade".
