Zenith automatic 28800 Defy timepiece of 1969. This watch (number 043 E 785) is a collector's piece, being one of the first Defy timepieces produced by Zenith in very small quantity, thus making them truly collectible Zenith watches. The Defy collection features a very wide range of Zenith watches, with the last model (Defy Lab) being the most accurate mechanical watch in the world (0.3 seconds over a 24 hours period). This particular line of water resistant and shock proof watches was introduced by Zenith in 1968 alongside the El Primero models Octagonal steel case, screw-down crown (not Zenith) with double seal, tempered mineral crystal, special locking bezel to provide an extremely effective seal and a shock proof rubber bearing acting as suspension for the whole movement.
