The name of the maker is at the eyehole. A. Bardou, Paris. According to internet sources, this signature indicates a production date between 1878 and 1895.
It is clear that the telescope has been used intensively, in the field or on a ship (with dents and traces of use here and there)? The optical elements are intact, the original glassware shows no cracks.
