This lot consists of a special set of chess pieces of the renowned brand Lardy, with corresponding box. All pieces still look very good. The French company Lardy is a very reputable manufacturer of chess pieces. The company was founded in 1890 in the French Jura and existed until 1992. The chess pieces were very frequently made out of boxwood from the Jura, presumably this set was also made of boxwood. All pieces are in a very good condition, please see the many photos. The chessboard is also in a good condition, with slight signs of use. The pieces can be safely stored in the accompanying original wooden box. All chess pieces are also equipped with the original felt pads. The height of the king is 7.6 cm. The chessboard measures 39.5 x 39.5 x 1.5 cm. The total weight is 2.1 kg.
