The bust is set elegantly on marble pedestal base.
It is signed ‘A. GIANNELLI’ on the back.

The bust is in excellent, flawless condition.
The artist, A. Giannelli, born in Volterra in 1907, was a passionate student of sculpture and graduated from the Royal School of Art. In 1944, he opened his own studio and produced commissions for the Allied Forces as well. He was an Italian master sculptor and president of the ‘Alabaster Craftsman Guild’ from 1953 until 1961.
