1) Data:
The TI-59 is an early programmable calculator, that was manufactured by Texas Instruments from 1977. It is the successor to the TI SR-52, quadrupling the number of "program steps" of storage, and adding "ROM Program Modules" (an insertable ROM chip, capable of holding 5000 program steps). Just like the SR-52, it has a magnetic card reader for external storage. One quarter of the memory is stored on each side of one card.

The Texas Instruments SR-51-II is a scientific calculator with 8 digits precision and algebraic logic. It has 58 functions, 40 keys, and an LED (light-emitting diode) display, typical of calculators of this era. The power source is 2xAA sealed. The calculator was manufactured in Italy; USA.

The PC-100C printing cradle followed the PC-100A soon. It can be used with the TI-58, TI-58C and TI-59. PC-100C_1.jpg (56760 Byte)Its thermal printer has 64 alphabetic, numeric and special characters which can be printed at the rate of 60 characters per second. Up to 20 characters can be printed per line on 2.5 inch wide thermal paper.
The PC-100C can also be used to print, list or trace program steps as an aid to debugging.
PC-100C_2.jpg (24852 Byte)The PC-100C cradle also had some more features than just the printer. It functions as a power-adapter and also has a storage/ charging compartment where you can charge the battery pack. The calculator (and battery pack compartment) is locked solidly to the cradle with the use of a key.
