Michel Folscheid, born on December 10, 1919 in Chouzy-sur-Cisse, studied at the horticultural school of Versailles and later became a talented ceramist and enameller. He was one of the main icon specialists in France (with 25,000 copies made) Died at his home in Vouvray, Touraine (Loire), in April 2014.
One of his many works, the Way of the Cross, is visible in the church of Rochecorbon.
Mentioned in the 1965 edition "Artisan et Créateurs de France".
Folscheid had a workshop in a cave dwelling. He mainly produced religious subjects and the workshop was known as "Emaux de Saint-Michel-du-Roc".
It is in excellent condition, neither scratched nor cracked.
