Sumatran Minangkabau-Acehnese Cast Brass Shield or Buckler. A very attractive Peurise Teumaga. This lovely little buckler is 22.5 cms across and remains in very nice condition. Being of a cast bronze construction, this example shows the designs typically found on Sumatran shields. Both sides show a nice age patina with the inside of the shield retaining its four suspension points that would have once carried padding and grips for the hand to hold. A very nice target shield from the early 20th century. Condition is good for his ages. Stand is not included.
