Carmencita and Caballero are arguably the best advertising characters of Italian TV. The audience got the message and their imagination gave Caballero and Carmencita not just arms and legs, but also a heart. The two basic ceramic cones became famous and the "Carosello" advert's closing line "Carmencita sei già mia, chiudi il gas e vieni via" (Carmencita you're already mine, turn off the gas and come with me) entered common parlance. Paulista is a classic example of advertising campaign that, working on all types of media, managed to satisfy every means of communication: static, auditive, cinematic. Designed and made by Armando Testa, it bears the advertising mark on the base of the tin. It is made of ceramic and measures approx. 25 x 21 cm, with a base of approx. 22 x 16 cm.
