Beautiful and very rare lower jaw megalodon tooth from Ica, Peru. Fossil shark teeth from this location are next to impossible to find these days because export is not allowed anymore for fossils out of Peru. This tooth measures 4 & 1/2 inch or 11.5cm at the longest side. This is a lower jaw tooth which are 10x more rare then upper jaw teeth. For every lower jaw tooth they found at least 10 upper jaw teeth. A thick massive root, colourful crown and a beautiful dark reddish bourlette are present on this megalodon tooth. Please note that some small area’s of this tooth have been repaired, look closely at the many pictures. Selling this one out of my personal collection where it has been for almost 20 years.
